Join Father Andy for the annual Blessing of Pets on Sunday, October 4 at 1:00pm. We will gather near the statue of St. Francis of Assisi. Please be sure your pets are on a leash or in a pet cage or carrier so that we have a fun and safe blessing for them.
Join Father Andy every First Friday (starting October 2) from 7:00 to 8:00pm in the Adoration Chapel. This special Holy Hour features Gregorian chant.
The pumpkins are coming! They arrive October 10 at 9am — please come out and help us empty the truck. Patch hours: Saturday and Sunday 9am-7pm, weekdays 2-7pm, and October 31 from 1-4pm. Donations of candy can be brought to the parish office. Volunteers are needed.
Baked goods: October 3-4 and October 24-25. To pre-order, call 561-798-5661 ext. 113.
Christmas wreaths, swags, garland and handmade wood carvings: October 10-11, 17-18 and 24-25. Wreaths, swags and garland will be delivered the first week of December after all Masses.
Next meeting: Wednesday, October 7, 6:00-8:00pm in Celebration Hall. Dinner is at 6:00pm and the meeting starts at 6:45pm. Growing in spirituality and community — after this meeting, new members will need to wait until January to join.
Thursday, October 8 at 6:30pm by the firepit. Bring a chair along with your favorite smokes and beverage. Don't smoke or drink? No problem — join us anyway! Must be 18 or older.
Have sensitive documents to shred? Saturday, October 17, 9-11am in the church parking lot. $5 per shopping bag or 13x12x10 box. Pack your documents in a box or bag (remove binder clips), pull into the parking lot, and we will unload and take it from there. Hosted by the Council of Catholic Women.
The parish office and Adoration Chapel will be closed on Monday, October 12 in observance of Columbus Day (Indigenous Peoples' Day).
Due to a lack of need, the OLQA Food Pantry has closed. Supplemental foods such as meats, fresh produce and milk are available at Palm Beach County Food Bank distribution events at the PBC Library, Royal Palm Beach Branch, 500 Civic Center Way, from 10:30am to 12:00pm on October 23, November 24 and December 22.

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ:
Next weekend, October 10/11, the faithful of our diocese are asked to participate in a second collection for World Mission Sunday, observed October 18, which honors those who follow the Gospel mandate to go out and preach to all nations. The 2026 World Mission Sunday theme, chosen by Pope Leo XIV, is "One in Christ, United in Mission," highlighting the unity of believers, founded on the union of Christ with the Father, and the consequent common mission of evangelization.
The annual collection supports more than 1,000 Catholic communities in Asia, Africa, the Pacific Islands, and parts of Latin America and Europe. By supporting this collection, we join with many others to assist these missions and ministries and provide help for some of the most vulnerable regions around the world. This year's worldwide celebration will mark the 100th anniversary of the day's establishment by Pope Pius XI at the suggestion of the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith. Pope Leo, recalling his personal experience as a priest and later as a missionary bishop in Peru, said: "I saw first-hand how the faith, the prayer, and the generosity shown on World Mission Sunday can transform entire communities."

This summer we welcomed new voices to both our Traditional Choir, now boasting 38 voices, and our Children's Choir with 28 voices. Both choirs are well into learning the new Christmas repertoire for our Christmas Masses and for our Parish Christmas Concert on Friday, December 18 at 7pm in the church. It will be a free-will offering, and the proceeds will help offset our music ministry budget.
Our newest group is the Handbell Team, who will begin learning their music soon. We are still looking for two more ringers to form the team. Please call me at the parish office, 561-798-5661 ext. 109, this week if you are interested!
Some of our young adults (high school to college) are sharing their instrumental talents with us, and I am very pleased to welcome them into the music ministry. I have room for more instrumentalists — call me or stop me after Sunday Mass and we'll chat! We have now added an oboist to the 7:30am Sunday Mass, and another trumpeter and a young guitarist to the 11:30am Mass.
We are growing, and we are working very diligently at our rehearsals so that our music ministry engages you and encourages you to join your voice to the sung prayers of the Mass.

As preparations continue, we sincerely appreciate the support you have given in past years. Throughout November, the team will be in the Pavilion selling pre-sale tickets, helping with volunteer sign-ups and answering questions.
Volunteer sign-ups: Our festival's success depends on our volunteers. We will again use SignUp Genius, and in the coming weeks you will receive an email with the sign-up link. A separate bulletin page will explain how to choose different areas.
Set-up week: November 30 and December 1-4, we need daytime help setting up the Pavilion (hanging sponsor signs, decorating and more) and children's games. The Village will also do final nighttime light testing.
Presale tickets: Discounted tickets will be available in the Pavilion during November. We are also working on online sales for pre-sale tickets (until noon on opening day) and regular-price tickets during the festival. More details to follow.
